Morning Prayer

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I will begin this day.

I thank you, Lord, for having preserved me during the night. I will do my best to make all I do today pleasing to You and in accordance with Your will. My dear mother Mary, watch over me this day. My Guardian Angel, take care of me. St. Joseph and all you saints of God, pray for me.

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father.

I wish to gain all the indulgences attached to the prayers I shall say and the good works I shall perform this day. Amen.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat [or drink], or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span? Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? So do not worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear? All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.” (Matthew 6:25-32)

Count your Blessings

No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs. Many of the things we take for granted, someone else is praying for. Be grateful for everything – even the crosses in your life. They are all a grace. God will take your sufferings and bring some kind of good out of them, even if it means because of what you are going through someone else is praying more, loving more, and turning back to God. Offer everything up to God and thank him for the many blessings in your life. God loves you.

Thank you for your prayers and support

Dear” Love Being Catholic” Friends,

I have loved writing and maintaining this online ministry over the last 3.5 years! I have learned so much from all of you through your comments and messages on my posts and truly appreciate each one of you. Thank you so much for being a part of this page, and for all of your many prayers over the years.

My mission is to help you grow deeper in your love for Christ, His Church, and our Blessed Mother, while at the same time give you some easy-to-understand answers to questions you might have been asked by others about our faith. Through the grace of God, this blog and Facebook page now have over 78,000 friends and are reaching several million people around the world each month.

It takes hundreds of hours to research, write and maintain this site, which I love doing, but at the same time it has become a bit of a financial strain. (I am a one-mom operation) Any support is appreciated as it would allow me to continue running Love Being Catholic like I have been for the last several years.

If you’re enjoying this blog, or my Love Being Catholic Facebook page, and it has been a blessing to you, please consider supporting it with even a modest donation of $5.00-$10.00 – every little bit helps.

If you have donated already, I thank you wholeheartedly for making all of this possible. If you find any joy and value in Love Being Catholic, please consider supporting me in my efforts. Please also keep me and this ministry in your prayers – you are all in my prayers as well!

We go for Him.

calm

Even if you’re tired and don’t feel like going to Mass, just go. It will do your soul some good. God is waiting for you, and loves you immensely. Just get up and go. And if the music isn’t great, or the homily isn’t as exciting as you were hoping, don’t complain. Offer it all up, pray for your priests and our Church, and thank God for the many blessings in your life. Remember, we go to worship God. We go for Him

St. Michael Prayer

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
